Abundantly Living In View of Eternity
Our passion is for students to pursue Jesus and his kingdom along with other students and adults that will encourage them. Students today are bombarded with temptations that comes from our enemy Satan (John 10:10). At Lakewood we want our students to know that they can live life to the fullest; we accomplish this through studying Gods word, coming together in worship, lots of trips and fun activities, serving our community needs, and then we go and share Christ’s love with others.
Worship-A.L.I.V.E.
Wednesday nights we meet together from 6:30 – 7:30. Our services are a time for students to come connect with God through worship, hear relevant Bible teaching, and having fun just hanging out with friends. Music, videos, testimonies, drama, games, topical discussion and friendships are all a part of this Wednesday night experience. Don’t miss out on what God has in store for our youth!
Grow-A.L.I.V.E.
Sunday morning our Students meet together from 9:45 – 10:45. Bible Fellowship groups are geared to discuss how God’s word applies to what students are experiencing. Students meet in smaller groups with adults who care about their lives to study the bible, pray and support one another
Serve-A.L.I.V.E.
We try to plan a Local Area Mission Projects several times during the year. This enables our students to serve Christ by serving other. Our big student trip each summer is geared around missions. MFUGE is a time where students grow by serving. We will also be involved in serving at the Big Oak Ranch where we are active in daily mission projects and nightly worship.
SHARE-A.L.I.V.E.
We believe our students will be fulfilling the great commission by sharing Christ with others. The best way to do this is to train them to share their faith, and then encourage them to build relationships. We also encourage our students to share their own personal story with others of Christ changing power.
To provide the youth at Lakewood Baptist Church a safe place to grow in their relationships with God and others as they interact with other teens, pray for each others, study the scripture, share Jesus with those in their community and serve others through missions. |
