Dr. E. Scott McQueen – Senior Pastor

Scott and Jackie, originally from Fayette, Alabama, have been married for over 26 years and have three sons, Aaron, Austin, and Addison.  Scott has 25 years of ministry experience, 21 of which have been in the pastorate or church planting.  He has served at Lakewood since 2004. BA Samford University, 1986.  M.Div. New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, 1990.  D.min. Luther Rice Seminary, 1994.

Bret Golson – Worship/Missions Pastor

Bret and Megan were married in 2006 and have a daughter, Lorelei.  Bret has over 11 years of ministry experience, including three church plants and mission trips to Kazakhstan, Greece, and Venezuela.  He has served at Lakewood since 2004.  BS Biology, University of Alabama, 2000.  M.Div. New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, 2004.  Currently enrolled in D.Min. program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ron Philpot – Assimilation Pastor

Ron and Amy were married in 2002.  Ron has over 42 years of ministry experience, and has served at Lakewood over 16 years.   He received his BS in Music Education from the University of Alabama and his Masters of Religious Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Brad Hartsfield - Student Pastor

Brad and Rhonda are natives of Tuscaloosa and have been married for 25 years.   They have a son Braxton, and a daughter Hope.  Brad’s ministry experience started at Circlewood Baptist in the late 80’s where he was involved in the Men’s and Youth Ministry programs for 18 years.  Brad served at Temple Baptist Church as the Youth and College Pastor for two years.   Currently enrolled in New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as he continues his ministry studies.
